How to reach Mr. Wilding
The best way to reach me is by email at [email protected]. I will check my email throughout the day when it is possible. My goal is to respond to any email within 24 hours. If you have not heard back within that time, please try again. Sometimes an email gets filtered by our Anti-Spam software and I do not get them in a timely manner. You can also reach me by phone at 623-445-7870 . The phone goes directly to voice mail during the school day. If you need to get a message to your child, please contact the front office.
All about Mr. Wilding
I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I lived there until I was 18 years old and then moved Reno, Nevada (that first "a" is like the one in "apple" not like the "o" in "clock"). If you've ever been to Reno, you'll understand that I decided to go elsewhere for college. After a few years of hard work, I earned a bachelor's degree in Public Relations. After 5 years in Public Relations, I decided to go back to school and become a teacher.
I began my career as a teacher in 2001. My first 3 years were at a school for Emotionally Disabled boys. It was both hard and rewarding all at once. In 2004 I moved to working in the Deer Valley Unified School District. I spent 3 years teaching 6th grade. I then moved to teaching 5th grade. Without a doubt, it has been my favorite grade to teach.
Somewhere in the middle of that, I went back to school and earned a master's degree in education earning hours for my Reading Credential and Gifted Endorsement.
I look forward to another year at Sunset Ridge and know it will be a great school year.
(Oh, the picture? I spend a great deal of my free time riding my bike. For some odd reason, whenever I get near a bike, I start to look like Patrick Dempsey. It's a burden I've learned to live with.)
